Kauai Farmers Markets: Enjoying Kauai, Bite After Bite!

A year round growing season on Kauai island leads to year-round Kauai farmers markets. Our Island, all 552 square miles of it, has the capacity to support daily farmers markets that take place every day, on every shore. So, the backdrop may change, but the opportunity to meet locals and taste fresh Kauai grown food, absolutely doesn’t waver. Even if fresh veggies aren’t your thing, many markets have local eats including everything from breadfruit hummus, to Kauai beef, cheese, kombucha and beyond! You can expect live local music, crafts, flowers and more. Don’t let a fear of all our unique fruits and veggies deter you from the ambiance and relaxed flare of this agriculture driven community.

By visiting these local markets, you’ll learn what’s in season. Year-round fruits include banana, coconut and papaya. Popular seasonal tropical varieties are: pineapple, citrus, dragon fruit (pitaya), mango, passionfruit (lilikoi), breadfruit (ulu), jackfruit, starfruit, longon, lychee, rambutan and soursop.  You never know what you will find at you nearby Kauai farmers market!
